As a proud Chicago-based company, BEI has deep roots in the community and remains committed to supporting local economic development through quality construction services and local employment.

Broadway Electric, Inc. (“BEI”) was founded in 1984 on Chicago’s north side, with the mission to provide a full range of industry-leading electrical solutions and innovations, executed in a thorough, professional manner by industry-leading experts. The company moved its corporate office to Elk Grove Village, Illinois in 2004.

In 2018 BEI, Inc. became an employee-owned company. That same year, BEI’s employees acquired 100% ownership. BEI’s goal is to give employees who participate in the Plan an opportunity to share in the growth and prosperity of the Company, accumulate capital for their future economic security, and acquire beneficial stock ownership interests.
